About the show
Gilmore Friends is a weekly podcast where long-time friends and performers Chemda (Podcasting Hall of Famer) and Carrie Gravenson (touring stand-up comic) tackle Gilmore Girls from two completely different perspectives: superfan and total newbie.
For Chemda, Gilmore Girls has been a comfort rewatch for years. For Carrie, it’s an entire world she’s never entered — until now. Each week, the two watch an episode together and then break it down on mic.
What makes Gilmore Friends unique is the clash of experiences — one host knows every twist, the other is guessing what’s coming next. Chemda
Chemda is a veteran podcaster and performer with a deep love for bike riding, strong coffee, and rewatching Gilmore Girls way too many times. She’s in the Podcasting Hall of Fame, was dubbed “The Queen of Podcasting” by Time Out NY, and has spent her entire adult life creating — through singing, writing, and podcasting.
Carrie
Native New Yorker and comedian Carrie Gravenson has traveled the country performing with CAKE Comedy (80+ cities!) and currently hosts a monthly comedy show at a romantic bookstore in Brooklyn. Her comedy album Cry Through It is available on streaming services.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Gilmore Girls, acclaimed podcaster Chemda and stand-up comedian Carrie Gravenson launch Gilmore Friends, a weekly podcast where a long-time fan introduces her longtime friend to the beloved series for the very first time.
Unlike other rewatch podcasts, Gilmore Friends thrives on the clash of perspectives: Chemda, a Podcasting Hall of Famer who has rewatched the show countless times, and Carrie, a touring comic and comedy album creator who somehow made it 25 years without ever watching a single episode. “I grew very uncomfortable with Carrie having never seen Gilmore Girls. Fixing that felt like a public service,” says Chemda.
