Carrie and Chemda have been friends for 15 years, have a ton in common, and can talk about any topic under the sun except one: Gilmore Girls. Chemda cannot seem to come to terms with the fact that Carrie has never seen Gilmore Girls. It’s a glaring hole in their friendship that needs correcting. Join Chemda as she introduces Carrie to the series, episode by episode. Will Carrie guess what’s going to happen next? Will Chemda find a new appreciation for the show? And when it’s all said and done, will they even remain friends?
Welcome back, Gilmore Friends! In today's episode, Chemda and Carrie dive into the drama, the fashion, and the questionable life choices of ”Run Away, Little Boy.” We’re breaking down everything from Lorelai’s ”freshly laundered” date with Paul (and that vending machine burrito!) to the high-stakes Shakespearean showdown at Chilton.
We discuss the complicated ethics of secret-keeping between Rory, Dean, and Tristan, and wonder why Paris is basically an abusive director. Plus, we celebrate the return of Henry Cho, analyze Sookie’s orange bandana shirt, and try to wrap our heads around the legendary ”Drop, Kick Me, Jesus” song.
Is Tristan actually going to military school for good? Why does everyone in Stars Hollow think Lorelai is a ”cougar”? And most importantly, what was Luke’s name in the original script? (Hint: It’s not Duke!)
